Musky Cottage

Musky Cottage recently went under renovations making this space perfect for larger groups. This 4-bedroom, 3-bath home features an open-concept great room with a vaulted ceiling with a wood-burning fireplace. Additional areas include a large deck and a second living room with a wet bar in the basement. The master bedroom has a view of the lake, a queen-sized Sleep Number bed, and an en-suite bath with a large shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third has 2 twins. The 4th bedroom boasts 3 full beds. This cottage has modern amenities including central air, free Wi-Fi with smart TV, dishwasher, and washer/ dryer.

Although there is no beach, the lake bottom is pure sand, excellent for swimming. It’s a short drive to town and within walking distance of both St Germain Brewery and Timber's Bar and Grill. Enjoy easy access to both bike and snowmobile trails. Sleeps 12 in beds.

  We took our kids and grandkids for a week long trip. (Included 7 adults and 2 kids age 18 mo and 4 years old) We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival as the home was even better than the pictures portrayed, which is highly unusual. The property is very well maintained. We got to meet the owner who was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. This home would be accessible for older people as well as kids. We had 2 littles that took baths-it was nice to have a bath tub and it was super clean. The main bathroom also had a step stool for kids to be able to reach the sink-nice for families. The kitchen was well stocked- take glass measuring cups and a 9 x 13 pan if you plan to bake. It was nice to have a living area in the basement- a gate at the top of the stairs might be a nice safety precaution when kids are present. All of our adult kids said that it was a good size for our family and never felt crowded or that we were "on top of each other". The washer and dryer in the basement were clean and worked well. The dock looked relatively new and the lake water was clear. My favorite part was the swing in the backyard overlooking the lake. :) We had deer siting's on a regular basis. It was cooler when we were there, but kids could have gone wading- not any beach area for kids to play or fish from. The rental company was very patient as I had lots of questions-this was our first time renting here. They were also VERY generous with the pontoon rental. Excellent customer service. We enjoyed Knockers Pizza and Cathy's Ice Cream in St Germain. Downtown Eagle River has several nice shops. The Children's Museum was nearby and a great rainy day activity for kids. My husband enjoyed Last Cast Fishing Outfitters in St Germain- a nice local business. There is a small grocery store in St Germain-well stocked. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend.

  Our experience was overall a very good stay. Often things go wrong and it is the response to problems that make the difference. Our pontoon boat engine died out in the middle of the lake. Even on Saturday we were able to contact someone and we were towed to our dock in 15 minutes. On Monday I called Jessica and she arranged a new pontoon so we did not miss any fishing time.

  Great home-felt like a home not a rental, updated with modern looks but also keeps the “up north feel”. Very clean. Rooms are all spacious, large closets. Nice deck/yard. Only loss of 1 star because of lack of privacy outside on lake side and proximity to resort next door.

  We had a wonderful stay at Musky Cottage last week. Upon arrival the cottage was impeccably clean and ready for us to settle in. We had plenty of space for the 8 adults and 3 kids (ages 7, 6 & 5)We loved the yard, deck and fire pit. The atmosphere of the tall trees really felt like the north woods. The steps to the dock were clean and safe. The swimming area was great for all of us and while there isn’t a sand beach there is a small island on the lake with a small beach area that works perfectly. We loved our stay and are already looking forward to next year!

  This was our 3rd. year at Musky Cottage. We love this home and location. It has everything- Great Campfires and deck. The kitchen and great room accommodates a large group. Lots of windows to watch the boats, deer and birds. Great getaway from the big city.
